From TEDxVCU: "George Ferrandi is an American artist whose work responds to the specifics of a site, audience or situation, engaging whatever medium is best suited for the task. Employing a unique humor and a deep sense of humanity, her work stimulates a rethinking of cultural assumptions. George teaches Sculpture and Performance Art periodically at the Rhode Island School of Design and at Virginia Commonwealth University. She also runs a small business specializing in the restoration of statues of saints for churches. George lives with a small dog and a rooftop garden in Brooklyn."
This lecture series is sponsored by the Visual Arts Boosters and is an exciting and integral part of the curriculum and the Art Club’s activity roster. Hearing from working artists or those who work in art-related fields is helpful in understanding the many career options/paths that are available to those with a talent or interest in art.
The LAST lecture will be held on April 14th.
We’d love for you to join us!
